Arad Gharagozli

Arad is a computer systems specialist, electrical engineer, and electronic engineering technologist with wide-ranging interests across technology. Over the past several years, he has worked with strong teams designing and developing commercial-scale projects in both the public and private sectors — spanning embedded systems, analog and digital circuit design, and the implementation and management of IT infrastructure for mid-size and enterprise organizations.

He is an advocate for the space industry in Atlantic Canada, particularly Nova Scotia. To that end, he founded the Dalhousie Space Systems Lab and grew it into one of the largest not-for-profit space research organizations in the region.

He enjoys building things, ventures and businesses included. He has been extensively involved in the construction industry, where several of his licensed software products are in active use, and has led product R&D in medical care and first-responder 911 systems. Above all, his passion is space: his current venture is focused on AI-based onboard computers for satellite systems, enabling the next generation of satellites to do far more.
